Welcome!

We are the Ohio Association of Emergency Vehicle Technicians (OAEVT), a not-for-profit organization formed in early 1992, to serve the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT).

EVT’s are the people who face the challenge of maintaining the equipment that Firefighters, Paramedics and EMTs rely on day in and day out under the most severe conditions. The goals of our organization are Education, Networking, and Training.

Each September, OAEVT sponsors a one-week all encompassing symposium at the Ohio Fire Academy. We hold quarterly meetings throughout the state to discuss association business and offer interactive training sessions. OAEVT trainings include factory representatives that provide information on the most current technology in Fire and EMS apparatus engineering. As well as offering preparation for the EVT Certification Program testing, OAEVT members have the invaluable opportunity to network, problem solve and share information with others in their field.

If you would like to receive our quarterly newsletter and become part of an organization created to serve EVT’s like you, take a moment to submit a registration form. Feel free to contact me, or any OAEVT officer, to answer your questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

Michael Schaeffer, OAEVT President
